Emerson Carioca the 25 year old Brazilian winger has been banned for 8 games after a game winning goal way back in December, you may find it odd that it’s taken so long to hand out punishment but when you hear the reasons why you’ll be less shocked.
The goal was scored in the last minute for his then side Sampaio Correa against Marcia to send them through the final of the Carioca Championship.
He proceeded to moon the opposition, then whacked his meat and two veg out and waived them around, obviously causing a fight between players.
Emerson was quoted as saying “Marcia’s people have been slandering me for the last 3 matches I’ve played against them, they’ve called me a slob, an alcoholic and a fat monkey, I was annoyed at what went on.”
You were annoyed? Jesus pal, I’m not sure what level of annoyed you reached to think it was a good idea to strip off and wangle the old boy around. You’re one step away from being starkers, covering yourself in your own shite and screaming “come on then” while the doctors rush into your room in the nut house.
Not to mention, no matter what this bloke does for the remainder of his career he will always be remembered as the man who scored a goal in a semi final, got naked and waived his general and two colonels at opposing players.
He’s got himself a new club since that incident, Portuguesa, who by all accounts are appealing his ban, i can’t think what their argument will be. I would also love to be a fly on the wall for his initiation at his new club. Maybe he’s thinking of the future and a career in puppetry of the penis crew.
