Twitter can be a horrible place sometimes, full of hatred and bickering, but sometimes, it serves us gold, absolute gold in less than 240 characters, last night and this morning was one of those times.
According to a highly convincing What’s App message, complete with forwarded many times, just to add to the credibility, it appears that James Rodriguez has been missing for Everton lately due to him transferring to her.
Now let me state that I couldn’t give a flying fuck if it were true, If any bloke wants to transition or woman for that matter then fair fucks to them if that’s what makes them happy.
People can never see the funny side in things anymore, you’re either ultra serious or bland, you’re told you’re not allowed to joke about certain things, Ricky Gervais said it perfectly “you can’t joke about anything anymore. You can. You can joke about whatever the fuck you like, and some people won’t like it, and they will tell you they don’t like it, and then it’s up to you whether you give a fuck or not, and so on, it’s a good system”
Football is often awash with rumours and conspiracies, is this player gay, is that player gay, why did Jack Wilshere miss 8 months of football, did Nike have anything to do with Ronaldo and the 1998 World Cup final. Taking points that fill the footballing world, that’s always been the way of it, if you do find it offensive or you don’t agree, leave it be, don’t get involved with the subject, why bother with the arse ache? You don’t need to force your opinions on people, everybody is allowed to have their own views, and that’s great.
It seems all the Rodriguez message was centred around him having a bruised testicle, and his hormone replacement accounting for the fact he can only complete 60 minutes of football, I did I must say forget that women’s matches are only an hour long (!)
People will believe it, people will believe this is breaking news because “your da got sent it on What’s app” people are stupid, it’s a funny text that now will be used to shine a bad light on football fans for having a laugh and joke about things, it’ll be branded toxic, it’s really not, it’s a load of blokes (mainly) who are having a laugh at clearly one of the most fabricated stories going.
Don’t bite back if you comment and you get some blow back from people claiming you’re anti trans, you can’t use the line “well some of my best mates are trans” treat it as it is, a fucking hilarious thing that Twitter takes under its wing and flies off with it for a day, creating some much needed buzz during the international break, because you’re all excited for England and San Marino tonight!
Not every little thing has to be anti something, or poking fun at a subject, it’s a bit like saying oh you can have a laugh, but not at that expense or this subject, fuck off, not everything has to be PC please everybody vanilla, if you’re offended by something don’t look at it, leave it well alone.
And on that note I’m sorry if I’ve offended anybody I won’t do it again.
