The Sporting weekend started on Saturday lunchtime with Burnley playing host to Arsenal, not much was going on until serial fuck up Granit Xhaka thought it would be a good idea to twat the ball at Chris Wood and let Burnley equalise and cost Arsenal two points in their quest for mid table mediocrity, blud, fam, fam blud.
Southampton finally won a game, but against Sheffield United I don’t think that’s much to shout about, Villa and Wolves drew 0-0 in the second most boring draw of the weekend, and Leicester beat Brighton, a game i actually forgot was on.
So that was Saturdays football all wrapped up in a neat little package (Homer Simpson reference.)
Then on Sunday West Brom played Newcastle in the battle of managerial dinosaurs and what followed was 93 minutes of the worst Premier League football I’ve witnessed in a long time. Fulham beat Liverpool and lots of angry Liverpool fans on social media made me chuckle with their excuses, in some cases the silence was deafening.
Manchester City finally got beat, letting city rivals United get one over on them, in a match that means nothing for the title. And Spurs beat another shite side, something they’re good at, until they play a decent team and disappear into the bushes (Homer Simpson reference,)
Rangers won the title in Scotland, quite a feat, the Scottish Premiership being such a hot bed of footballing talent with definitely more than two teams capable of winning it every season, so massive congratulations to Steven Gerard and Rangers.
Honourable mentions this sporting weekend go to James Wade who won the UK Open darts, don’t know if he managed to smile or not, unlikely I think.
Some ruddy decent chaps had a ruddy good time playing rugger, all with the upmost respect towards the officials, they sure stuck it to those footballers, who do nothing but roll around on the floor.
And finally some people ran around a track, while others threw some things and others jumped into a massive sandpit in Poland for the European Indoor Championships.
